Where do fishers fish?

Here you have the Powerpoint presentation we saw last Monday. Remember the contents: best places for fishing, the Exclusive Economic Zones or territorial waters every country has, the main problems that affect fishing, the development of aquaculture and some of the problems derived from marine aquaculture.

As you said the other day, this presentation is really complete, and it has helped me to understand better that the cold currents and the places where cold and hot currents meet are the best places to fish. Well done Paqui! And be happy, I know you have to check a lot of notebooks from 2º ESO students, but you are very fast!
See you!

Hello Laura,

Have you seen the film "The day after tomorrow"? It explains the importance of ocean currents in climate. Eveything is related in nature and if you alter an element, you will have a chain reaction. As the temperature of the atmosphere is increasing and the ice at the Poles is smelting, the salinity of seas and oceans is changing and fish is being affected too. Climate change is affecting the fauna and the flora of the oceans as well. This results in less fish and an increase of aquaculture. Wild fish is even more and more expensive. For example, some days ago two Japanese restaurants paid 300,000 € for one only red tuna. This news can make you understand the few red tunas that still live in the seas.

Yes, I have a lot of work, as usual. I´ll try to do my best, although I´m very tired lately. See you tomorrow.
