TO KNOW MORE: THE MADNESS OF VAN GOGH

THE MADNESS OF VAN GOGH

For the psychiatrists, the case of Van Gogh has a lot of interest and mystery. There were signs in his biography and letters which can elaborate some hypothesis about his madness: religious madness during his first years of life, continuous upsets of personality, and then an intension of assassination with a razor blade, this last produces that Van Gogh finished without his right ear, he cover it (the ear) with paper because he wanted to give it to a prostitute called Rachel.
Some experts say that his madness was produced by an epilepsy, alcoholism and schizophrenia. Some doctors say that Van Gogh was intoxicated with inhalations of harmful substances which produce a brain lesion. To check it, some experts return to his letters, where he demanded yellow and white colours to his brother Theo for working. Van Gogh used a lot these two colours, which were very damaging in their composition during that time, because they were made with silver and chromium.
This is one of the hypothesis that justifies the madness of this genius.

Hello,

These are my corrections:

- VAN GOGH’s madness

- continuous changes
of personality

- an attempt of assassination

- This lastepisode
produced that Van Gogh lost a part of his right ear. He covered his ear with paper

-...some experts have studied his letters, where he demanded yellow and white colours to his brother Theo for working. Van Gogh used a lot these two colours, whose composition was very damaging during that time,

- This is one of the hypotheses that could explainthe madness...

See you.
